Draft Submission
Today I have spent some time re-reading the handbook and trying to familiarise myself my Areas of Learning and the Learning Outcomes to get a better understanding of what is expected in regards to Module One Portfolio.
I began to get slightly worried as I had read in the handbook ‘last day for drafts to supervisors via email on Monday March 16th 2020.’ Was this the last day that Adesola would look at my work? Was I late in handing work in? I began to panic, I haven't started the essay! However, on UniHub it gives time slots that Adesola is free so I decided that it would be best to try and call and speak about my worries, as writing it in an email was proving difficult to explain.
Thankfully Adesola was free and able to answer my question: ‘Is March 16th the last date that you will look and advise on our work?
March 16th is the last date for submissions of work but will not be the last time our tutors will look at pieces of our work. Once we have handed our 1st draft in, on March 16th, along with our feedback form we will begin a conversation with our tutor about our portfolio and through the feedback form we will be given guidance on the direction that we are going in, which will be an ongoing discussion until final submission date on May 1st 2020.
I hope this helps anyone that may come across this same worry or starts to panic about the essay.

Hi Paul,
ReplyDeleteI've had this date noted down in my diary and written on my calendar, but I'm still in the process of writing my essay and I'm also trying to create a more presentable diagram as it is rather messy at the moment.
I keep getting interrupted by my four year old which has been challenging...especially if I have a train of thought and I'm typing it down and all of a sudden it's gone because my son is asking for another snack 😅 bless him...he's so cute I can't ignore him!
I hope you got some clarification from your chat with Adesola. I'm slightly confused still about linking my practice with lens 3 but hopefully it will come to me! 👀

Hi Paul and Bronte,
ReplyDeleteThank you for sharing your concerns, I have also been worried that I haven't gathered my thoughts into a logical, complete essay and diagram. This is reassuring that we still have time to discuss the pieces of work between March 16th and the final deadline.
Best of luck with your work!
Sta safe,
Lauren Mitchell
